2005 Mitsubishi Pajero Fill Up Problems
Recently, about a month and half ago, I bought my first Mitsubishi Pajero 2005 NP GLX. The first couple of weeks I had no problem filling up with diesel as per usual but the last couple weeks have been an absolute pain. Each time I go to fill up (usually close to empty), the bowser immediately clicks off after a few seconds which from previous experience only happens when the tank is full or when encountering air bubbles. My car has a default 90 litre tank but an extra 40L tank that the previous owners installed. There is a splitter that the previous owners made themselves that allows me to choose which tank I put the nozzle into. I have tried everything from placing the nozzle fully in, partially in, twisting it upside down, rocking the car etc (tried all this on both tanks). Nothing seems to work and so I am left to minimally and I mean minimally place pressure on the bowser trigger to ensure any diesel enters my tank at all. One of the tanks has a breather pipe while the other doesn't and my dads friend said that the breather pipe may need to be checked. Apart from that though I am clueless and want to know if there is anything I can do or check before calling in a specialist.
