4 W/D help

I had that flashing light nightmare a couple of years ago and wound up cutting the wires to the freewheel sensor on the front differential. Well i finally replaced it today because I moved to VA. and I expect snow here and will need the 4 wheel drive. When I put my 2001 Montero Sport XLS into 4 wheel drive I get absolutely nothing , no lights and no engagement. Is there a fuse somewhere That I might have pulled and forgot about?

no one home? any ideas on where to start?

You may have fried a fuse.

Next time, don't just cut ****.

I did not just cut ****, I cut and taped each wire individually, Where might this fuse be. I don't see any fuse for this in my manual.

I threw that out there. I seriously have zero experience with Montero's.

OK so I replaced the freewheel clutch switch on the front differential and I now have 4 wheel drive again however............. my little green light on the dash does not come on....... but everything works. Is there something I can do without taking down the tranny? :D

Replace the bulb?

The montero default to be in 4wd, if there is a fault in the system.

Do you still have the front flashing light or just not rear flashing lights?

If the front ones are on solid and the rear ones are out, should just be the bulb.

The flashing light syndrome can happen if the the switches for the system have not been used and get crud and gunk build up. If they are used more frequently( ie use the super select transfer case more often) people tend not to have the issue. Unless the switches fail completly of course. You can change between 2wd and 4wd and vice versa on the fly up to 100km/h if it is the super select system.

so now no 4 wheel drive and no flashing light. I'd like to see an actual diagram for the vac. lines if anyone has one just to make sure all the hoses are connected correctly. I replaced the switch on the front diff and the dual solanoid thing on the passenger side wheel well, almost $200 on stuff so far and still no luck. The green 2 wheel light on the dash and the ABS light does not come on any more so I am making some progress lol.
