Default 90 MONTERO brake, turn sig, cruise control issue

I have checked what I thought were all the fuses in the pass compartment, and the 3 on the battery and cannot locate the fault. I have running lights and all other lights, and every other function of the electrical works correctly. Only still no turn sig, cruise, and stop lights.

Options?

Thanks for your help!

melted wiring by the muffler.
unless you have a badly corroded trailer harness due to poor installation.

Manybrews is probably right on the wiring issue. Having a fault in the brake light system could stop the cruise control from working. I suspect it uses the brake light signal to disable the cruise control whenever you apply the brakes.

Also if you've installed anything in the engine bay that's not a standard item, it may have worn through a wiring harness. That's what happened on mine and the symptoms I had were the high & low beams were reversed... (I'd get high beams when the switch was in low, and vice versa.)

All the issues you have described are controlled by the "Hazard" switch. you either need to replace or clean the contacts on the switch. It is easy to clean so I would try that first.
