Default 91 MOntero 3.0 DOHC?

Good day to all. First time poster. I have searched through the forums and have come up short on this question. I am helping my father put in a replacement motor in his 91 montero. The engine is a 3.0 DOHC v6. We have it all put togeather with the rebuilt motor but are having trouble getting her to fire. The book (only have a chiltons) states that the firing order is 1-2-3-4-5-6, but shows the plug wires running in a different order off the distributor. Furthermore I can not find info ona DOHC engine for this year of Montero only the 3.0 SOHC.

So the question is, is the DOHC the same firing order as the SOHC, and then should it be wired sequentially 1-6 from the distributor? as a follow up, if anyone knows, why is there so little info on the DOHC setup in this year monty? I thank you sincerely in advance for any information you can provide, been struggling with this a few days.

the reason of few info is that certain model is made to be exported to certain country.
in malaysia, mitsubishi agent only import the 2.6 petrol version for goverment use.other engines model like the 3.0 V6 and 2.0 petrol are grey import.this is way back on the early days.
now, there are lots pajero here different model petrol and diesel.btw montero is known as pajero here.

Your a lifesaver thank you, thank you thank you. Not only did the manual have incorrect wiring for the spark plugs, but had rotor direction reversed as well. Thanks again have a great weekend!!
