Question 99 mitsubishi challenger imported from japan

Hi, i am wanting to buy an suv (mitsi challenger/montero sport) from a dealer, it is a 5 speed automatic with tiptronic, 3.5 v6. the dealer said that it is a full time 4WD mitsi challenger. should a full time 4WD have a separate shifter for the 4WD or is it the part time 4WD that has the 2nd shifter for the 4WD? or is this mitsi challenger an AWD?

would love to hear from you guys

As far as I know the "sport/challenger" came in either a rear wheel or 4 wheel drive option. If there is a second shifter for the transfer case then it is for sure a 4WD. I'm not sure if they made a '99 version with all wheel drive in Japan or not. If you get the vin number and have the dealer print you up the full spec. sheet on the rig, you could find out everything you want to know about it before you buy.
