Default cat ?

Will the cats in the y pipe from a 3.5 fit a 3.8. I found a aftermarket company that make some for the 3.5 but not the 3.8. They are a lot cheaper than the dealer too. Chad

If no 3.8ers chime in you might shoot that aftermarket company an email and see what the specs are on those. They should at least provide you with diameter and length information with which to work.

But let's hope we get a simple "Yes" from somebody...

Hope you get an answer but in the meantime it would be great if you can share info on the company that has the 3.5 parts. Lots of posts here from people needing to replace those pre-cats - so well done if you found a non-OEM source!

Thanks in advance.

Search catco catalytic coverters. Here is an ebay link to one.

Thanks - very helpful! Will be interesting to hear results from any members who give them a try on the 3.5L.
