Went to vent my cooling system on my 2002 Montero Limited only to have the upper hose vent bolt shear off, thankfully was able to get it out and get everything cleaned up but now im without a bolt and not having any luck finding a replacement. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.

 

It is a standard metric thread, just a "funky" flat wide head. Take the second one out (there are two of them on top of the engine) and take it to a hardware store. You should be able to find a replacement that is close. Look at the bolt with an allen head. Many of those have wide flat bottom of the head, like this:
