The very first time I removed my crankshagt pulley bolt, i used this technique. Use a BIG breaker bar or (1/2" min). Make sure it rests squarelt against tbe fender and doesn't have any place for rotation. DO NOT HOLD IT with your hands. You dont need to start engine. Just turn key to engage starter just a bump) and turn it off immediately. You'd be surprised how effective this is.

Dont use the starter, that is hack job-ish. Risking breaking something. Just use a 1/2" breaker bar with a pipe. And buy a new bolt for putting back in, there's too much load on the bolt undoing it to use it again.

This is the safe answer for sure but there have been a multitude of people I've talked to over the years that have re-used the bolt (even myself). I have had to remove the crank-pulley bolt like 10 times over the last few years to do various odds and ends and I have reused it every time with no issues. Just make sure the threads are clean on the bolt and in the hole, and torque to spec. Also make sure your VIN isn't in the crankpulley bolt recall, if it is, replace the bolt.
