If you don't mind a single DIN unit, then the Innovatek 721 is not bad for the price I think. Only downside I noticed in my friends Grand Cherokee was that he wasn't able to display the clock in the closed position (Not a problem for the Montero) and there is no dimmer switch for the closed position screen and that can be very bright. Fixed it with a little piece of tint. Has had a previous gen version for 10 months now without any problems. You can probably find one on an Ebay store cheaper than retail. I know he picked one up from one of them for $450 CAD.
Innovatek also does double DIN options, but I have not had much luck finding them State side. |
