Do You Really Need To Remove the Intake Plenum for a Plug Change on a 3.8?
It looks like the most inaccessable ones are the middle and back on the passenger side. Can you do it with a u-joint extension?

its just like the 3.5, have to remove it.

If I was a sarcastic type I'd suggest that instead of asking why not try it and post your results here. No one else seems to have been able to do this, but you never know......
Seriously, if you pull off any of the plug connectors you'll see there's about 4 or 5 inches of hard (unbendable) plastic extension in there before you even get to the top of the plugs. Ron |

It's really not that hard to do. Here's a good write-up.
http://www.monterosportonline.com/diy-perf2.html I recommend getting a Sharpie and numbering all bolt heads as you remove them and making a diagram. Also, as I recall I got the intake gasket at NAPA for just a few bucks and it worked perfectly. Ron |
Thanks again for the tips.
