Egr valve
 

hello
i recently replaced the solenoid, but the check engine light came up again
and now it says EGR valve????

it says P0400...system fault...(exhaust gas recirculation)
ECM has detected too little flow on the EGR system....

can somebody help

try disconnecting the vaccum hose from the egr valve thaht system always fails somehow the ecu sends a signal to open the egr valve for no reason and the check engine light comes up or the car can stumble at idle

So i should take -off the vacuum? i just replaced the solenoid
the check engine light went-out, then after a coulple of weeks
it came back , i went to autozone and it said EGR...

yeah pull off the vacuum hose from de EGR and go for a test run see how it goes

I just fixed this on my girlfriends 04 Galant. Remove the EGR valve, clean it with carb cleaner, put it back on and borrow auto zone's code reader and clear it. The check engine light won't come back on.

or a link, i have a hard time taking it off, afraid i will break something

Remove the six bolts that hold on the plastic idiot-proofing..LOL. The EGR valve is on the back of the intake plenum. Carefully remove the attached vacuum hoses, noting where they went. The valve should be held on with two bolts. Remove these, and the valve should come off. Remove the old gasket. Make certain that the inlet where valve mounts is clean and free from carbon buildup. Either clean the valve or install a new one. Use a new gasket. Tighten bolts to 17/26 Nm. Reattach hoses, and you're off to the races...
