Talking Engine Swap.. 3.0 to 3.5??

I have a early model 2002 Montero Sport with the 3.0L (6g72) motor, timing belt broke and damaged head(s). I have a late model 2001 Montero Sport that has been rolled with the 3.5L (6g74) motor. Is there a way to be able to transplant the 3.5 in place of the 3.0? Without a complete undertaking of the chassis and electrical system. Swap heads

Sorry, I'm new to the Mitsubishi family of motors...could tell you GM, Ford, Dodge swaps all day.
