Default Help Replacing Fuel Filter Montero '00

You may have read already I'm trying to replace the fuel filter on my montero '00 (please see "alldata.com..."). I can't find an easy way to clear the pressure on the fuel line and I'm afraid that just openning the fuel cap wouldn't be enough. Does anyone have any procedure for replacing the fuel filter?

I have a 92 Montero, my fuel filter was not hard at all and I don't think you need to worry to much about any residual fuel pressure once the engine is off. Taking the fuel filler cap off is a good idea. I do recommend a couple of hose clamp tools that squeeze the hoses on either side of the filter to prevent fuel spillage. An aftermarket repair manual should give easy instructions that will make it safe to do.

I'll look into using the hose clamps, this would save me a bigger headache, thanks.
