Hello everyone.... Am from Nissan forum.... About to get an 02 Mit Montero Sports LS with 54k miles. One owner. With bumper damage that needs replacement of paint job - btw $300 - $600.

A used 03 outlander xls 56k miles is going for same price ( but lacks the power of V6) ... which is best

Not fully made up my mind yet.... What should i look out for and and what are the general problems with these SUVs.


What would am ideal price be?

I called the dealership. Said no open recalls but recommends 60k for $800 dollars...... (only Oil Change, Rotation, pcv, oil filter, air filter, throttle body service and tune-up) ..... and tming belt replacement for $500... wow

You have probably already bought your car but truthfully it just depends on which body style you like just keep in mind the outlander is much much smaller than the montero, and is more like a station wagon

 

Correction... 4WD station wagon that I would only use for city/snow driving. I'd stick to a true 4x4 like the sport or Gen II Montero for any real off road adventures.
