how do i check if engine block is the original ?

hi
this rebuilt engine dilema really sucks.

i have a strong feeling that the rebuilt engine i paid $2500 dollars for is actually my original block that i was told was a replacement block cause mine had a cracked sleeve.

the engine had 2 broken rods and i think all they did was replace the 2 rods and pistons replaced the freeze plugs and charged me for a complete block replacement.

i have less than 300 miles on new engine and it's going back to them cause there's an oil leak ... rear main seal.

warranty break in is between 800 and 1000 miles when it goes back to thier shop for an oil change and whatever else they do.

i have a letter already filled out and ready to send to BBB and bureau of repair based on my final conversations with the person who did the finish paperwork with me. advising me to sell the vehicle and to not count on a warranty.

do the numbers on the engine block match the vin numbers if its my original block and not the remanufactured and machined basic short block ?

happy easter and thank you for any and all assistance
