I got someone to change transmission from automatic to manual and have few remain pro
I have a 2002 Montero that was automatic but seeing as this country does not seem to have the proper transmission fluid I got it changed to a manual transmission but I have no speedometer as I was told it doesn't work the same on a manual transmission. What can be done? Another thing seems to happen is that when the clutch is pushed in at 2 or 3 the motor shuts off. When released will start itself or just turning the key starts it again. Any suggestions?
Thanks

Manual transmission should have speed sensor somewhere too. It is likely to be near rear output shaft. Can't help with the engine shut down. Sounds like pushing clutch pulls on some wire and cuts out the signal to somewhere. You are going to have to do some detective work on that one, since it is one of a kind vehicle.
