Here in the USA, you just need to get the serial # on the radio and call your local Mitsubishi dealer. If they are charging you, they are trying to rape you.

Although I'm not sure on the 99, but if it takes longer than 5-10 minutes to get to the serial number on the radio, just buy a new radio. Any aftermarket radio even the cheapest brand is better than the stock crap.

 

Better yet, call Mitsubishi Motors of North America at 1-888-648-7820, M-F 7am - 4pm Pacific time.

 

I found mine on the radio itself. It was ontop of the unit once I removed it. The dealer wanted $75.00 to tell me.
