Leads on Gen1 MAF refurb?
My '91 needs a new MAF and I cannot seem to find one...except through PartsGeek, and what shows up is NOT an MAF but a spark plug boot for a Dodge Ram. I've tried to order it from both their website and their Ebay store with the same result.
Does anyone know of a company that refurbishes MAFs? I'm not sure what else to do except just deal with it at this point.

See if you can get the part number somehow, and google search using that. I have found part number searches remarkably helpful recently in trying to find a transmission temp sensor.
There appear to be a lot of 1992 style ones on ebay but not having your part in hand, I couldn't tell whether they were the same as your 1991 variety. But a part number search should give you full access to every offering on the internet.
Sometimes rockauto will give you OEM part numbers.

Check these guys:
https://modulemaster.com/rebuilds/
They can re-manufacture many electronic components. You can search on their website to see if this might be a part of the "regular" rebuilding services that they do. If it doesn't show up there, give them a call. They might be able to tackle it on a one off basis.

jBurney........You are 100% right. Many times nothing shows up in my various part searches until I enter the part number, then I get some action. Speak of Part Numbers, did Mitsubishi publish a Parts Book along with their Shop Manuals for the 91 - 99 Monteros? Most Parts Books have beautifully detailed drawings of all pieces on the rig, and with part numbers for every bolt, nut, washer, etc. I would love to find a Parts Book to add to my Manuals, if they exist.
But back to the MAF........I would try a real good cleaning and see if that helps. They sell spray bottles of MAF spray cleaner, along with Carb Cleaner, Throttle Bottle Cleaner, etc.

I appreciate both of your input!
Parts book has been a no-go for my '91 unfortunately. I have been able to find diagrams here and there from dealership-based online parts sellers, which was a huge help in finding a front pinion seal. Searching for the MAF via the part number didn't get me much, one seller with a refurb in stock to the tune of $600. Not terrible, in the grand scheme of things, but with a $4k-ish rebuild on my hands I'd like to save a little money where I can.
I did find that Cardone still does rebuilds, for a number of different parts. You have to go through a parts dealer, but lucky for me the mechanic doing my tear out and install is a NAPA-certified shop and can handle it for me. Whole thing (with expedited shipping to make sure it gets back to the shop before the engine does) should cost me under $200, which isn't too shabby.
