Mitsubishi Montero & Montero Sport This sport utility vehicle offers more size than the other Mitsubishi SUVs, but manages to keep a sporty look and comfortable feel, unlike many larger SUVs.

Default Looking to give away

I have a 2001 Mitsubishi Montero Limited been sitting around for several years has a crankshaft oil leak in the front removed all the pieces up to the timing belt and never got around to doing anything further. Has a lot of interesting stuff going on I rather give it to someone who may bring it back to life before I send it to the junker. Not sure if I can post this here but thought I'd try to save it.
I'm in Lothian MD which is important

I am still very tempted... Do you have all the parts you removed? Does the vehicle have much rust? Can you send me couple photos of the engine compartment (to see what needs to be reassembled), undercarriage and interior/exterior?

I do have all the parts. Labeled in some cases. I can take pics give me a day or two. I took out part of the air intake, the fan and clutch, serpentine belt and its components. I pulled off the crankshaft pulley as well. Basically can see the timing belt fully exposed I didn't remove that but technically ready to do that to get the crankshaft gasket changed. Not much rust honestly. Ive had it covered even though its outside all these years. I have a 4th gen toyota 4runner and those are rust buckets. Needs new fluids i changed all the brakes including rotor and calipers except the front passenger couldn't get the rotor off but I have the parts for that too. Would need to bleed the fluid of course to finish the job and because its also bad by now. Needs fuel replaced and yeah all fluids this many years later. I had engine work done on it before I parked it as well which may help the fact of it sitting who's to say.
