Default looking for solenoid valve for overdrive in 1990 montero.( please help )

would love to know where to find a A/T case solenoid valve for overdrive. Have contacted mitsubishi dealer, they said cant get that part, discontinued it. Checked with toyota dealer because its toyota trans. Checked all the local parts houses, no luck. Found 1989 mits montero in wrecking yard but the part wasent the same. Please some help from someone.

What is the transmission code? When you checked with the dealer, did they have a part number for the discontinued valve?

I'll check to see if there's an alternative part number, or another part you can use instead. In the mean time, there will be a tag in your engine compartment with a bunch of codes on it (usually on the firewall behind the air filter assembly). Can you post your transmission code? Thanks!
