low oil pressure
 

I have a 91 that I just picked up. The Oil pressure guage shows very low oil pressure after the vehicle warms up. It has 165K miles. Any Ideas on this.

89 - Same and Still Running Fine
 

Hi,

I have an 89 3.0 liter that I thought the same thing of. My pressure is 6+ when cold, drops to 3 when warmed up and going down the road, drops to about 1 at idle when warm. Doesn't seem to have had any negative effect in 2 years I have had it.

I didn't know if I needed a new oil pump or a new op sending unit. I guess I will just watch it.
