Montero Sport Trans Swap
I have a 1998 Montero Sport with a 3.5L. I need to swap the transmission. It currently has an A340F. Would I be able to swap in a V5A51 trans from a 2003 Montero?
I've looked at both and they should have the same bell housing bolt pattern, however, they don't seem to have the same trans shift and valve body connector.
Is there a way to easily identify exactly which model the trans is? I've only been able to do it by the year and model of the car.
Moreover, of these years, are the transfer cases the same?
