new tires for 2001 montero sport LS 4WD

Hello everybody. I'm thinking about getting new tires in the near future for my 01 monty LS 4WD. I'm having a tough time picking out tires since I'm looking for tires with the best fuel economy, I don't' need any fancy offroad tires. My current tires are goodyear 255/70 R16 RT/S, and they are starting to crack all over the place. They are also fairly loud and very hard, its like driving a tank with these things on. I'm looking for tires around $160-180 a piece, no more than that. I heard yokohama geolanders are popular for monty, but the cheap yokos don't last very long, especially yoko prodigy(I think this is just about the ****tiest tire you could put on an suv). I was wondering if they make just regular all season tires designed for strightly road usage, since thats all I really need. I'm also considering 245 instead of 255 so I can get a little more fuel econ. Ud be suprised, I'm getting around 24 MPG just on the freeway with this damn thing every since I rebuilt the engine, must be the valve timing and the new o2 sensors. i've also been looking at kumo tires lately, but I'm not really familiar with all these tire labels like AT/S, RT/S, MT/s.

Any feedback, would be gladly appreciated!!
