Oil warning light came on.
Hi to all!
There is a blizzard right now here in Chicago. I was backing out from my driveway and the shift lever was at 4LLc because of too much snow on the driveway. I shifted to 4HLc because the road inside our subdivision is really covered with snow. When I reached the main road I shifted to 4H, that's the time when the oil warning light came on. So, I went back home right away. Can I drive the truck to the dealer? It is more or less a 5 mile drive. Thanks! |
was there just the light or did the engine make any odd sounds? i would check the oil level

Thank you for the reply. There wasn't an odd sound, it was just the light. I also checked the oil level and it was fine.

bad oil pressure sensor, or the oil was at the point of freezing and wasnt circulating in the engine as it should. pretty cold up there i hear.

My truck is running fine now. I don't know what happened that day, but it is ok now. The light never came on again. Anyway I will go to the dealer this weekend to have it check. Thank you all for the reply, I really appreciate it.
