Hey there, just picked up an 01 montero sport 3.0l with an allegedly bad engine. haven't had time to get into it yet. Been researching on engines and stuff, so once I get into it I have an idea how much. It has the 3.0l 24valve and I'm finding that multiple vehicles had this type of engine like the eclipse and such. is the block and/or the heads the same as in the sport. Can't find much on it but they are all the 6g72. I think if i get the same year or close it should work, swapping over everything and just using the block and possibly heads. Any input would be great. thanks!
