Piston Position for TDC
Hi Guys
I have a 2006 NP pajero with a 3.8L engine Timing belt snapped off Taken the heads off for a rebuild ( suspect belt valves? ) With the heads of, I rotate the engine to align the crank timing, yet piston 1 is down 2 and 5 are up. Just need confirmation this is correct Keep in mind the belt snapped so I'm starting from scratch...... https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/mitsubi...b73a435054.jpg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/mitsubi...f1fbbb7d5f.jpg |
That is not the timing mark. If you remove the crankshaft pulley, you'll see the dot imprinted on the front of one of the teeth. That is the proper mark
