Hello i have a 2000 montero sport xls,gonna change the spark plugs but i have been reading that i need the plenum intake gasket also,i looked online for it and lists lower and upper gaskets for that could anyone tell me which i need or both...thanks

As long as you don't remove the intake manifold you only need the upper. It will look like the picture I posted below.

Technically speaking, you need to replace both. However, I've re-used mine many times without any problems. If your plenum is tightened down to gorilla torque specs, you need new gasket because old one will be crushed too much.
