Default Recharge air conditioner

The A/C on my 97 Montero SR isn't very effective, and it's in the 90's here in the Green Mtns this week.
Can I go to my local WallyWorld and get a recharge kit?

Thx,

gc

if it's anything like most vehicle's it's driven by one of your engine belts and has 2 hoses going into it. Only thing like it on a belt.

found it, I think. As I face the engine, it's at the lower right at the front of the block, almost under the battery. The re-charge fitting is at the front of the compressor. It appears that the easiest way to get at it is to pull the skid plate and come up from underneath.

Comments?
