I am trying to remove the exterior door handles from my 1990 Montero. I have released the clips and pulled up the two bars free. I have also taken out the bolts holding the handle to the door. However I can’t figure out how to release the piece circled in the photo. This pic is the passenger rear door. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
