Default Blown head gasket

Hey everyone
so I have a blown head gasket on my V6 3.0 ..... I have a factory manual but I'm not sure if the water galley in the back of the engine is connected to the engine block or does it connected to both of the cylinder heads .... I really can't see between the firewall and the heads and using my fingers I'm not sure if I'm touching the block or the heads
does the water galley bolt into the heads or the block ?
any and all assistance is greatly appreciated
