Have not had experience working with them, but i have visited their facility - they are in next town over I'm pretty sure they will do a good job. They used to work elusively on rebuilding ABS controller units and looks like now they have expanded their offerings to other repairs. I'd trust them, since working brakes are pretty crucial and they have years of experience fixing the PC boards for the brake controllers.

Todd,
I sent my original cluster to them but they could not repair it and sent it back. No charge but shipping which for me was $50.

Once I learned about the soldering procedure I was able to fix it myself.

Thanks, I think that I'll stop by a cell phone/gadget repair shop and see if they'll do the soldering for me. Not experienced in that area

Default temp gauge fixed!

I did it! Pulled the instrument cluster on my Montero (2003) soldered the R110 resister and put it back together. Thanks for those who documented on how to repair the gauge issue

Thanks!

Todd

Default Temp Gauge

Yes! This vehicle has treated me well and feels good to be able to maintain it. Has over 220,000 miles.

I had this problem with my fuel gauge r12 resistor. Followed the instructions and it fixed the problem.

I had to seat the cluster twice as the first time wasn’t seated properly and the speedometer kept sticking.
