Timing Belt 2007 Mitsubishi Montero Sport GLS 3.0
 

Just purchased a 2007 Montero Sport. I am living in South America, so it is difficult to find some parts here. The engine is a 3.0L V6 24 valve (Model 6G72). I am having some trouble finding a timing belt kit for my 2007 model online, but have found kits for 98-03 3.0 Montero models, on Amazon (attached link). Will this kit be compatible with my current engine? Is it possible to find cheaper kits online using the engine model 6G72? I have been spoiled in the past with maintaining a car, so I'm kind of new to this. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!

I'd be very cautious going that route, unless you know exactly that the parts match. Go online and do some more research to find part numbers and to confirm the fit.
