would like help and any advise on my 03 Montero Sport LS with 3.0 L engine.. Service Engine Soon Light came on. Ran test to computer and got code P0154 which shows Code 03 falut 01 pend 03 02 sensor ckt Activity Bank 2 Sensor 1. Ok now I thought it was a simple oxygen sensor, so I took the car to my friends at AAMCO and they told me that the sensors check out fine on their computer and the car will need to go back to the dealer for a reflash of the PCM. Every dealer I spoke to in central NJ wants to charge an outrages amount to fix this problem. Can anybody give me advise as this car need to go for inspection in December and they will not pass the vehicle with a check engine light on.

 

if your car has less than 80,000 miles it would be under warranty.

 

I continually get the P0157 code, and the light turns off after 10 starts I believe. Mine only comes on whencruising upI-70 in the Rocky Mountains.

IIRC the PCM reflash for the 02 sensorsrequires thatALL of the sensors have to be replaced before the reflash is done...

 

The car has 104K and I The Mitsubishi dealers charge way too much for service....Would love to start a class action suit against them..

 

Some how I don't think starting a law suit will help get your car fixed........ But, negotiating more value out of your service experience is.

Speak to the Service Manager about what other services you could add while your car is there and what discount you could get for doing all

the work at the same time. Perhaps your due for a tuneup or fuel service which would help prevent further check engine lights to come on.

If the manager wants your business he will help.
