Transmission problems
 

My 03 Montero sport is having problems with the tranny it jumps hard into reverse when it's in drive the neutral gear indicator on the dash has a green box around it that flashes the entire time it's slow off the start and won't shift I tried a transmission shop but can't afford the diagnostic does this sound like maybe I need a tranny flush or maybe just a rebuild I love this vehicle and depend on it daily any advice would be greatly appreciated
