Transmission swap question 98-99

Is a 1999 transmission and a 1998 transmission interchangeable? Can I put the 1998 trans into a 1999? Thanks

As long as they are both from a 3.0L. The 1999 3.5L trans is completely different.

Turns out one is a 4cly and one is a v6 3.0
