Vacuum leak Montero Sport
 

Recently I have been hearing a hissing noise when the engine is running. There is a hose then connects from the throttle body to some box with a electrical connector that is cracked, does anyone know what the box is next to the abs module

I think the box in the photo (down in the engine compartment) is cruise control module. You can take off the hose and cap both tube ends with vacuum caps to stop the leak. You'll loose cruise control, but will eliminate vacuum leak until you can repair the box.
