My 2000 montero is making a weird honking sound. It randomly goes off when I'm driving but it's not coming from the horn. Its almost like a lower tone of the hornI took it to the mechanic, he drove it around and he wasn't sure what it was. It sounds like its coming from the drivers side of the car. Any suggestion of what it might be before I take it back to get it fully worked on? Is there a second horn or a different anti theft alarm. Please help...

 

I have a 2001 which has a recall on the ABS Breaking syst. and that is how it started, if so it is air leaking out of the pressure tank.
I am fighting with the dealer here in Costa Rica and they have refused to do the work.
