No residue, no leaks, no weeping, great light brown inside tail pipe. No loss of power or gas mileage and this has just started recently , a sudden jump not a long time process. Use to only have to add a half quart between oil changes. Took a trip last weekend with full air cond on and mountain freeway driving..2 tanks of fuel= 1 quart low on oil !!!!

So you are saying that it`s acceptable to consume a oil change worth of oil for every 16 tanks of fuel?
yes.

Assuming 300 miles per tankful, thats 4800 miles. Which is past the normal interval anyway.

Just to let you know, mitsus oil consumption spec on their NEW cars is a quart every 1250 miles. Anything over that is acceptable.
All automakers are about the same with that spec.

but you obviously skimmed the part where I said its especially common on the older 12 valve 3 liter engines. You ARE using oil through the valve seals, period. It doesnt matter if you can see it. It is VERY common. You probably have worn valve guides, too.
You can either add oil, or perform a valve job.
Oil is cheaper.
