Default 07 outlander aux not working

Hey guys I have a 2007 Mitsubishi Outlander XLS and for some reason my AUX doesn't work. I'll hook up the auxiliary cord, put it on the AUX setting, and no sound. I know the cord that I have works fine. Any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks

Did it work before? Make sure you have the right pins connected?

I bought the car used and it didn't work when I got it. I'm sorry I'm not familiar with what you're referring to. What pins? Where can I find them?

Hello, if your AUX cable is connecting to the rear seat AUX socket (at the back of console) and if you have rear seat entertainment system as well, make sure the power of the rear system is off when you use the AUX input. Since the AUX input will be disabled when the rear system is on. Hope this help.

Get into the rear seat of your outlander. Look down at the back of the center armrest, all the way at the bottom. Try connecting there and see what happens.

You don't have a little flap back there at the bottom of the console with a red and white connector???

This is from a cnet review of a 2007 outlander.

Does your car have bluetooth, have you tried playing music over bluetooth.

Otherwise i think you'll need an aftermarket head unit or you can use an FM modular auxilury input.
