Default 100 Watt bulbs?

I was wondering if installing 100W bulbs would damage the electrical system in your car, would the car be able to run fine with 100W bulbs? if so, would fogs and the headlamps be too much?

these were some that i found on amazon:

Amazon.com: 2007,2008,2009,2010, Hipro Power 2007-2010 Mitsubishi Outlander Xenon HID Fog Light Bulb: Everything Else

the 1st set is 55W, the second is 100W. 100W will fry your system....

Basically if you get a pair of headlights for $12.95, you've just bought Dollar Store quality product.

I would'nt even waste the effort putting them in because they will burn out in a day.

get a quality bulb like sylvania, phillips etc. You'll never match to colour of HID with halogens so dont think you can by trying everything.

high wattage bulbs will fry the wiring, and in some cases discolor your reflectors. so yeah, that is not a good idea. i speak from experience.

as for the high beams, ryandlor is right, with the exception of putting hids in the high beams (bad idea) you are not going to match the color. the thing about hids in the high beams is that they are reflectors designed for a certain bulb. hid bulbs light differently so there is a large amount of glare that will blind other drivers.

alright thanks guys, I will look into philips bc i hear they are whiter. I know i wont get a perfect match, but i will generally only use my high beams to flash them or even when the weather is bad and I can hardly see a thing.
