2003 outlander camshaft pulley removal?
2 Attachment(s)
Hi all. Stuck on how to remove the camshaft pulley. What I've read is that you remove the 4 bolts but what about that center one thats holding the pulley in place. I'm trying to change the timing belt and water pump and would appreciate any input.

For future reference, I got the pulley off by removing the center bolt and later realized that all I had to do was to remove just the four. What confused me was that the center bolt and its washer looked like it would prevent me from removing the pulley. I could have just used a rubber mallet to loosen the pulley and then pull it away from the center bolt.

Also for future reference, That's just the pulley for belt the goes to the water pump and I couple of other things. That will only require the 4 bolts to be removed. If you take of the timing belt cover, you'll see the main crankshaft sprocket which does require you to remove the center bolt.
