2004 Outlander Timing Belt Replacemnt
I have 2004 Outlander with 59,500 miles on it. I understand we are supposed to change a timing belt at 60,000 miles. I heard some say the new model of car these days the timming belt can go over 90,000 miles.
Could anyone give me some input for this issues, please? Thanks. Al |
Alldatapro.com says to replace it at 60k. Hopefully manybrews can chime in too.

Thanks for your input. I probably have to change the timing belt soon.
Thanks. |
I m a half of year member in this forum but maybe this should be my first post.
I'm from greece & i have tha same 2004 Outlander with about 116700 km. Two services ago (i make a service every 9000 - 10000 km) i change the timing belt. My dealer had say that is to early to change it but i was impenitent about it. When my dealer saw the old timing belt he said that i have right. The timing belt had lines & it was ready to cut. I suggest to change the timing belt as soon as you can. Maybe sometimes is better to check some things alone because dealers is stupid sometimes. |
Thank you for you info. I contacted my Dealer. They quote me at $260 plus tax and shop fee for timing belt and Timing belt balancer (Total 2 belts) in 4G69 engine.
I made an appointment for next week. Is there anything else I should change? Thanks |
