What type of coolant do I need to use? The coolant itself is blue, and I can't seem to find my manual right now. I need to top it up and hoping I dont have to spend Dealer money to do it.

 

The owner's manual for my 08 Outlander says use long life coolant. I use the Prestone extended life coolant (good for 5 years/150,000 miles) to top off mine. I have the stuff that's premixed 50/50. I'm pretty sure it's the same for a 2011 Outlander, but either way you can't go wrong by using an extended life coolant. One warning. Do NOT get the dexcool formula. That's a GM specific coolant (different formula) they use in their vehicles.
