2012 Outlander Sport driving problems
Hello,
I have a 2012 Outlander Sport SE at 55,000 miles. About 6 months ago this car started giving me problems were its incredibly bouncy on the road and hard to control. Its very noticeable on windy roads or going up hill. The dealership has replaced all shocks and struts, plus sway bar links. The ride seemed to improve somewhat but as the new parts have settled (two weeks) its gone back to feeling incredibly unsafe on the road.
I've been told that this is normal, however the ride wasn't like this when I purchased the car. Any ideas what is going on or did I buy a lemon.

My 2012 Outlander Sport SE is experiencing the same issue after 70K miles. The dealer found that one of the rear shocks is leaking. They want $383.00 to replace.for 1 shock!
I'm looking into an air bag set-up but am having difficulty finding a kit for this model. Also cannot find an aftermarket shock replacement.
If anyone knows where to purchase shock replacements other than dealer please let me know.
Thanks!!

So I've had the whole suspension replaced, shocks, struts and sway bolts, and the problem is still there. I'm thinking there is a part that is either loose or bent which is causing it to wobble and shimmy. I'm getting absolutely nowhere with the dealerships in this area, which is incredibly frustrating and dangerous. Does anyone have references for good mechanics in the San Francisco Bay Area that work on Mitsubishi vehicles?

Not sure about your area for mechanic, but isn't Mitsubishi headquarters around there?I had an issue getting my local dealer to perform recall work in a timely manner and I called and e/mailed their main office and I got help fast
