2015 Outlander Sport has bad swaying occurring.

I’ve read other threads in this, but have not seen anything resolved. I have 39,000 on the “new to me” car. Every bump I hit I get this rear end sway. Sometimes if feels like I could lose control it’s so bad. If I am correct, I am still under warranty, but the closest dealer is over 2 hours away. I would like to get some idea of what to look for myself, so when I do talk with someone at the dealership, I could be well informed. Anyone have this issue and actually get it fixed. Most issues on swaying are on vehicles prior to 2015.

Any help is appreciated.

Could be suspension, when is the last time you had an alignment? It sounds dangerous enough to take the two hour trip to the dealer and use the warranty.

Check your sway bar end links and bushings.

sounds like bushings, but that's low miles for that issue. go to the dealer or any reputable mechanic that knows Mitsus

Check your rear calipers too, if the bolts on the caliper bracket are loose, the caliper and brake pads tilt and cause a quick jolt.
Check right away, if a bracket loses a bolt, you will have a bad day, locked up tire at speed can be very bad.

I had this happen to me once, :( I failed to use locktite on the bracket bolts. Not worth counting on torque alone to hold this, lock'em!
