I picked up LED bulbs for my 2016. Replaced one and when door open light is full brightness and normal. When I press the button to manually turn it on just a dim flicker. Tried reversing it- same thing.

 

Likely a cheapo LED bulb.

I replaced all of mine with CANBUS compatible ones and not a single issue.

I guess my 2016 just doesn't want LED's. Bought the CANBUS lights and replaced the map lights. Work fine when doors open (do hear a hum from them). When I press the button to switch them on the come on and start flashing.

I just got 9pcs LED Xenon White Light Interior Package Kit for Mitsubishi Outlander from them

It works fine by far. The minor issue I have is I received 2 xenon white and 2 blue LED Festoon and still waiting for an email how to exchange it

Thanks for the links guys. I always thought the cabin lights were too dim, but I know that may be by design for better visibility while driving. I might try a partial led replacement, since I know the led's will be much brighter than stock.
