2016 Outlander tow hitch

Greetings, My dealer is getting me a new 2016 Outlander from another dealer across state. Coming with a dealer installed tow hitch and wiring. Does that interfere with access to the spare tire which, I understand, is located underneath vehicle. Thanks,Tom

It will be fine. No issues. Personally, I prefere the Curt hitch for the outlander, but the factory one is just fine.
My wifes 14 Outlander has the Curt hitch installed, fairly easy, and it's truly beefy compaired to the factory hitch, but I think the factory one tucks up better.

The factory hitch looks way better to me. I have the Curt hitch and while it looks stout, it sticks way down/out. Anybody know how much the factory hitch is? If it's reasonable, I'd consider changing it out to the factory one.

Hi, Received our 2016 Outlander yesterday. The window sticker shows a price of $435 for tow hitch and wiring(installed). It was an option we didn't really want, but had limited year-end choices. Salesperson said if purchased separately from parts dept., hitch would be $425 and wiring $95(plus installation); prices were MSRP, so probably depends on dealer for actual pricing. Tom
