Default 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander passenger side reverse light is not getting power

I have a 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander I bought new April 2018. Issue I have is my passenger side reverse light quit working. Ok first thing I done was replaced the bulb. 2nd thing I done was swapped bulb around to the other socket on the driver's side just to make sure it wasn't bad also. It worked in the driver's side. 3rd I checked fuse's all were good under the hood and in passenger side front kick panel. 4th tested with a tea light.

With all of that being said. I'm not getting power to passenger reverse light socket. Before I go tapping into the driver's side and just running a new wire. By any chance has anyone else ran into this issue? And successfully fixed it without just running a new wire? It's wife's car and because it's the first new car we have ever bought. I really don't won't to have to rig it by tapping into the driver's socket and running a new wire to the passenger side. I only do that on my beaters that I don't really care about.

Thanks in advance for any help and solutions.

Are you sure it has 2 reverse lights? In most markets one is a reverse light and the other is a rear fog light. Do you have rear foglights?

I'm pretty sure both are supposed to be reverse lights. Other wise my wife would have noticed it not working sooner. When I get home. I'll check it out and see if it comes on with the fog lights or not. But I've never known any vehicle to have a rear fog lamp. Other than the ones I normally wire to reverse and a toggle switch for my warning of tailgaters. To me a rear fog light would do nothing but blind the people behind you. Witch is probably illegal. Witch is why I don't believe I've ever seen a rear fog lamp on a vehicle before.

A rear fog light shows red, not white light. Mitsubishi only produce 1 harness for all countries, that s how here in australia we have rear fog lights when they are not a requirement by law. Its acceptable to buy another reverse light lens and swap it out for the foglight one , but some people do this expecting it to work automatically, but you have to wire it to the other side. I have also seen people do it for aesthetic reasons, as it looks odd having red on one side and white on the other.

I'm 90% sure both were working as reverse lights when we first got the outlander. Both sides has the same color wires going into the sockets.
