I'm looking at changing my pads soon, anyone have any suggestions as far as some good brake pads go? I was thinking of gettng these: http://www.roadracemotorsports.com/s...products_id=78 but I would like to get confirmation that the outi has the same brakes as the lancers before I buy these.

What year is your outlander? Are you just looking for a good all around pad?

try EBC brand. They're well made and has practically 0 brake dust. Akebonos are also good but I've found EBC's have a stronger 'bite' when you get on the brakes.

EBC's also have a sandpaper like coating that reduces bed-in time between the pads and rotors. This coating also polishes the rotors--you'll notice how shiny they get as you use them.

won't all these hard pads ruin your rotor quicker?

Chances are the oem pads are made of material just as hard if not harder than the aftermarket items you buy.....depending on the brake pad model. Example: the oem toyota pads are much harder than their TRD counterpart and therefore wear out faster. However, they have superior performance to the oem.

Just make sure the pads you purchase exceed oem standards.
