This question is for those who have already taken away the ballast or the Igniter from the xenon headlight assemblage.
Do I need to remove the front bumper and the headlight case to gain access to the ballast or to the igniter? For example after removing the igniter can I re-installed it again without any problem?. If you have done this job could you please indicate any difficulties you found on the way?

No,
There is nothing wrong with the ballast or the igniter. This matter is related to replacing the xenon bulbs with halogen bulbs. However I need to disconnect the ballast from its 12V source. The ballast is screwed to the underneath of the headlight shell. To the touch of my hands it appears very tight without space between the lamp and the ballast.
The igniter wire travels through the lamp shell to the balllast (see diagram). Only members that have had a go with the ballast may have a conclusive description of how to access the ballast without taking away the front bumper or the headlight shells. Otherwise it appear that will be me who has to do the experiment. However some members may have done the job and may help with some advice.
